Effective: October 12, 2026. Last updated the same day.
This policy explains how we handle consumer health data under Washington's My Health My Data Act, Nevada SB 370 and similar laws. It is part of our Privacy Policy, which covers everything else we collect.
The Dad Center is operated by AMGINSIGHTS LLC, a California limited liability company doing business as The Dad Center, 3249 Accelerator Avenue #1005, Fremont, CA 94538, USA. Email info@thedadcenter.com. We are the regulated entity responsible for the consumer health data described here.
The short version:
| Category | Examples | Why we collect it |
|---|---|---|
| Pregnancy and birth information | Due date, pregnancy stage and week, birth date | To show the right week-by-week briefing, tasks and checklists for your stage and to keep your partner on the same page |
| Baby care and health logs | Feeding, sleep, diapers, temperature, medication, milestones and notes you record in the tracker | To run the baby tracker and share logs with your partner |
| Mood check-ins | Your mood on a 1 to 5 scale, situation tags and any note you write | To show you your own mood history and suggest relevant challenges |
| Dad-profile answers | Work situation, relationship status, concerns you select, support network | To personalize the challenges and content we show you |
| Consent record | The time you agreed to this collection | To prove and honor your consent |
We collect this only to provide the features you asked for. We do not infer health conditions from your other activity, and we do not collect precise location.
We do not buy consumer health data or obtain it from data brokers, advertising platforms or health providers.
We never use consumer health data for advertising, profiling for marketing, or building audiences on any advertising platform.
We do not sell consumer health data and do not share it with affiliates (we have none). We share it only with the service providers below, which process it on our behalf under contract and cannot use it for their own purposes, and with your family partner as described in section 5.
| Third party | Role | Consumer health data it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database, authentication and server functions (AWS us-west-2, USA) | All categories above, stored encrypted and access-controlled |
| Netlify | Web hosting and content delivery (USA) | Requests to our website, which may include health information you enter on the web app while it passes through to our database |
| Resend | Transactional and lifecycle email (USA) | Email content that can reveal your stage, such as a week-number briefing subject line |
| Expo, Apple and Google push services | Push notification delivery (USA) | Notification text, which can include a task title or a tracker log your partner added |
| Sentry | Error monitoring (USA) | The screen or URL where an error happened, which can reveal a pregnancy week. Our SDKs send no email, cookies or IP address; events expire after 90 days |
| Stripe, RevenueCat, Apple App Store, Google Play | Payments and subscriptions (USA). AMGINSIGHTS LLC is the merchant of record for web payments. Card statements currently show the descriptor AMG HOLDINGS, with DADCNTR appended on the Lifetime purchase | None. Stripe receives your email, user id, the name, billing address and tax ID you enter at checkout, and the payment details you enter on Stripe's page. RevenueCat, Apple and Google receive billing identifiers and purchase receipts |
We may also disclose consumer health data if required by law or court order, or to protect the safety of our users and the public.
When you invite a partner into your family, they can see the shared family data: due date and baby details, and the tracker logs either of you add. Mood check-ins and dad-profile answers are private to the person who entered them and are never shown to the partner.
We ask for your explicit consent before collecting consumer health data, with a checkbox when you create or join a family during onboarding on the web and in app versions 1.1.2 and later, or, for accounts created before October 12, 2026 and for older app versions, the first time you open a current version of the app after that date. We store the time you agreed. Consent is separate from accepting the Terms of Service and is not bundled with anything else.
You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting the health information you entered (for example, removing tracker logs or your dad profile) or by deleting your account, which removes all of it. After you withdraw consent we stop processing that data, except where the law requires us to keep it.
You have the right to:
We respond within 45 days. If we need more time we may extend once by a further 45 days and will tell you why. There is no fee for up to two requests a year.
If we decline your request, reply to our response within 30 days to appeal. We will answer the appeal in writing within 45 days with our reasons. If we deny the appeal, you can complain to your state Attorney General; in Washington that is the Washington State Office of the Attorney General.
We do not use geofencing or any location technology to identify, track or send messages to people near health facilities or anywhere else. We do not collect precise location.
Consumer health data is encrypted in transit and at rest and protected by row-level access controls so each family only sees its own data. We keep it until you delete it or your account. Encrypted database backups are kept by our hosting provider for a limited period (no more than 30 days) solely for disaster recovery and are not used for any other purpose. Retention periods for everything else are in the Privacy Policy.
We will post changes on this page and update the date at the top. For material changes that reduce your rights or expand how we use your information, we will notify you by email or in the app at least 30 days before they take effect. Changes that add protections, correct errors or are required by law may take effect when posted.
